Businesses / On the map

Someone goes and checks.

Tell us what a passing photograph looks like and where — anywhere in the US. Scouts go, shoot it inside the Jija camera, and the photo is sealed with the time and place it was taken.

What we can do

Anything that can be photographed

Two shapes of job. Either you bring a list of addresses and we confirm what is there, or you bring a brief and a volume and we build the list ourselves. Both run on the same camera, the same checks and the same levelled people.

Advertising & out-of-home

  • Poster and panel checks
  • Transit, bus shelter and truckside
  • Digital panels, in-rotation confirmation
  • Proof of posting for a whole campaign
  • Damage, obstruction and fly-posting reports
  • Competitor share-of-voice sweeps

Retail & merchandising

  • Planogram and shelf-set compliance
  • Facings, adjacency and blocking
  • Price and promo tag audits
  • Display, endcap and secondary siting
  • Out-of-stock sweeps
  • Competitor pricing and promotion

Property, insurance & assets

  • Exterior condition, four elevations
  • Roofline and visible hazards
  • Address and occupancy verification
  • Pre-policy and renewal documentation
  • Post-event damage documentation
  • Vehicle, equipment and asset checks

Data collection

  • Street-level imagery at volume
  • One object across many real settings
  • Multi-angle sequences around a subject
  • Indoor scenes, captured with permission
  • Video walkthroughs, stabilised and geotagged
  • Long-tail and hard-to-find

Custom tasks

None of this is a fixed menu. If it can be photographed from publicly accessible space, and you can describe what a passing photograph looks like, we can turn it into a spec and dispatch it. Send us the odd one and we will tell you within a day whether it is dispatchable and what it will take.

Coverage

Across the United States

Scouts are dispatched to whatever addresses you send, in any city or town where the job sits. Before you commit to anything, you see where we are strong and where we are thin.

Scout density per cell · sampleLow → High
A coverage read on your list

Send the addresses and we tell you where we already have people and where we need to recruit first, before you commit to anything.

A projected completion date

Every job comes back with a projection per checkpoint and for the set as a whole, derived from density and observed clear times in that area. You get it before you sign, and a live burn-down against it once the job is running.

An honest answer on deadlines

Where a deadline is tight we tell you what proportion of the list is achievable inside it, rather than accepting the whole job and missing the tail. You can then cut the list, move the date, or pay to accelerate.

The deliverable

What you receive

Originals, unmodified, with an attestation file for each image. Address lists arrive as a folder per checkpoint; collection jobs arrive as a manifest across the set.

On the roadmap: a CSV roll-up, a webhook when each checkpoint clears, a manifest for collection jobs, and delivery straight to your own S3 or GCS bucket.

Verification

The checks that run on field work

The chain is set per task type rather than applied uniformly. Insurance documentation runs more of these checks than a poster audit does.

  1. Device attestationEvery frame. App Attest on iOS, Play Integrity on Android. A capture from a modified build never enters the pipeline.
  2. In-app capture onlyNo camera-roll import path exists. This is enforced in the app, not by policy, so a photo cannot be imported from the camera roll, downloaded or re-dated and then submitted.
  3. Position with accuracy radiusWritten at the shutter with its error bar; a fix that is too coarse is refused. A distance check against the address is being built, with more tolerance among tall buildings where GPS bounces.
  4. Content hash at captureA SHA-256 fingerprint is taken the moment the photo is made. Any later edit no longer matches it, and a photo submitted twice is refused.
  5. Human review, tier gatedReviewer trust tier is recorded on the capture.
  6. Consensus where it mattersTwo or three independent reviewers on high-value work; disagreement escalates to adjudication.
Distribution

Specifying the shape of a collection job

Because we dispatch to specific places rather than collect whatever turns up, distribution is an input. This is a spec fragment as you would send it.

Licence and rights

What you are licensed to do

If you are training on it, this matters more than the price per image. These are the terms we offer, agreed in writing for each job.

  1. Rights grantedPerpetual, worldwide, sublicensable, and explicitly permitted for model training. Written that way in the contract rather than implied.
  2. Model and property releaseCollected at capture time for any identifiable person, referenced by release ID in the manifest so you can audit it asset by asset.
  3. ExclusivityExclusive, non-exclusive, or delayed-exclusive. Delayed-exclusive gives you a head start without paying for permanent lockup.
  4. IndemnityWe indemnify on provenance and release. The clause is available before you sign.
  5. WithdrawalIf a subject withdraws consent we remove the asset and notify you. Deletion covers the corpus, not the weights of a model already trained. We state that up front.
Liability

Scouts are not your workers

The person who takes the photograph is engaged by Jija, never by you. Commissioning a job creates no employment, agency or contractor relationship between you and them.

  • You are not responsible for a Scout's conduct, safety, tax or insurance.
  • Jija engages, levels and pays every Scout.
  • Scouts work only from publicly accessible space. They do not enter property, and they do not represent you or speak to anyone on your behalf.
  • A capture is photographic evidence with verified time and place. It is not an inspection report, a loss estimate or an underwriting decision — your own adjuster, inspector or underwriter makes that call.

This will be written into the Scout terms and into your contract with us, rather than left to judgment on the street.
